Selcom S.r.l. have been manufacturing MULTIAXIAL REINFORCEMENTS (also known as Non Crimp Fabrics - NCF) using high performance fibres such as glass, carbon, aramid, PVA, and polyethylene since 1992.
Selcom S.r.l. has extensive experience in the traditional textile industry. In 1991, the company started to focus its activity on the high-performance technical fabrics market, with composite reinforcements, which offered great chances for growth. In 1992 the first multiaxial machine for the production of NCF (Non Crimp Fabric) was installed. Multiaxial technology was little known at that time. It had been under development since the 80s to supply the aerospace industry. Selcom S.r.l. has grown considerably year after year.
The production of Selcom high performance fabrics takes place in air-conditioned buildings, with dust removal systems from the floor to ensure the perfect conditions for processing the fibres and to create a healthy and comfortable atmosphere for the building occupants and operators. There is a large warehouse equipped with controlled atmosphere for long-term storage of raw materials and finished products.

Today, Selcom production capacity reaches 180,000 sqm of technical fabrics produced each month spread over two work shifts, with a variety of different products in the range. Selcom S.r.l. is a leader in Italy in producing multiaxial (dry) technical fabrics.

Selcom S.r.l. is one of the founding members of the International ParamaxTM Committee (IPC) with headquarters in Naila (D), a non-profit making organization made up of members who are involved in manufacturing the true multiaxial PARAMAX™ fabric. Selcom S.r.l. have been operating an internal quality system that conforms to UNI EN ISO 9001: 2000 standards since 1997.
