Composite Boatbuilding industry is one of the main markets where Selcom have developped specific products over recent years.
Selcom multiaxial fabrics are used in the construction of practically all the structural parts of a boat: from the hull to the mast: i.e. GRP hulls, bulkheads, decks (upper-structures), masts, etc.
As multiaxials are essentially high-performance reinforcements for advanced composites, respect to wovens and/or mat they are widely used in racing and leisure boats (both sailing and powered boats), where the performances of the craft is of paramount importance.
